Trump - only time will tell: Political analyst
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The world is still digesting Donald Trump's shock victory over Hillary Clinton in yesterday's US presidential election.
But a political analyst says it's still early days to tell what Republican Trump's victory means for American citizens.
The University of KwaZulu-Natal's Lubna Nadvi says in the lead up to elections, the Republican said all kinds of things which sent shockwaves around the world.

She says he was disrespectful to women, immigrant communities living in the US, American Muslims, and people of colour.
Nadvi says it'll be an unsettling prospect if Trump goes ahead with some of the things he said he'd do during his campaign - such as keeping Muslims out of America.
"It's very hard to predict and it is only once he is actually in office that we will see what this present is all about. And in the meanwhile I think everyone just has to wait. So I think ultimately, all of us are actually in shock at his outcome, and I think that the American citizens who did vote for him are obviously quite happy - and only time will tell how this election result will play itself out," she said.
