The markets depend on Trump: David Shapiro
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Sasfin Securities' David Shapiro says the way investors in the Americas behave going forward - will be entirely dependant on Donald Trump.
Shapiro believes a major concern for investors is that the US president-elect is not primarily a politician.
Speaking to Newswatch, Shapiro added where investors put their money will depend on how well Trump allays their fears.

"Depends on how he responds to them. They're going to watch that carefully. If he reaches out to them, what he's going to say, also how he responds to the Middle East - geo-political issues. We literally have to take his presidency one day at a time but if he comes out conciliatory, calm, pleasant as he was with his acceptance speech - then there is a bit of hope," he said.
Trump's win at the polls saw markets get off to a shaky start yesterday, as a number of investors had backed Hillary Clinton.
