Meet our final Baby Snaps winner, eight-month-old Isabel Nandi van Niekerk.

We chatted to proud mum Marissa van Niekerk to find out more about Isabel. 

What is your baby’s name and age?

Isabel Nandi van Niekerk just turned eight months on the 05-09-2013, so she was seven months old when the picture was taken.

Tell us a little about this cute photo (above right) and what led to you capturing the moment

My sister, her two daughters, Isabel and I went to uShaka Beach for fun, sun and sea. We were all just enjoying a girls’ day out relaxing. Isabel is quick and easy to laugh and smile, so she picked-up the chill vibe of the day and was just laughing more than usual. My niece just could not resist her cuteness, and took some pictures to capture the moment. 

Any amazing moments that you’ve experienced with your child that you’d like to share?

Every day is a special time with Isabel, she is such a pleasure to be with. She squeaks with joy, she is always happy and friendly, and smiles at everyone she meets. I get compliments on her pleasant nature and beauty all the time.

Finally, what do you plan to do with the R2000 cash?

Both of Isabel's older brothers have bank accounts, except Isabel. I will take the R2000 to open Isabel her own bank account, where money that she is given for birthdays and special occasions can be saved for her future.
