Organize a beach party with all your friends. Pack a picnic basket, rugs and an umbrella and have a sand building competition. Children love to sit in cars made out of sand. Make one for each child or a great big sand bus!

Four things that I teach in my antenatal classes are, if you are prepared you will not be scared. If you want a natural birth with no epidural wait until your contractions are lasting a full minute and are coming every 3-5minutes apart before you go to hospital, an epidural is not painful and stand up straight after a caesarean before you walk.

Have you ever walked into your home to find nearly every light on in the house? This is a frustration for many parents as they follow around their children switching off lights on their behalf. Teach your children from when they are tiny to turn off a light when they leave a room.

Family values that every parent should and would like to uphold are belonging, forgiveness, respect, communication, flexibility, honesty, curiosity, tradition, integrity and generosity.
