Discuss with them about why they are receiving an allowance, whether or not they need to earn it, how much they'll get, how often, and under what circumstances it might be withdrawn. If you decide to require that certain chores must be done before allowance is paid, be clear about your expectations and stick to them. Children as young as 5 will grasp this.


Small children will do almost anything to get your attention. That's why it's important to praise them when they're behaving well; if you only take notice when they're doing something that you don’t approve of, they'll keep behaving that way.

Feeding a family whatever the age can become boring and fried foods, convenience foods or take aways start becoming the norm. Healthy eating is a habit and eating protein, fruits and veg and healthy carbs 4-5 x day is the way it’s meant to be.

Baby acne is normally a response to hormones and is commonly seen at a month,it lasts for a week or two. Clean babies face with cool boiled water twice a day and only if it gets dry and scaley or the spots become a bit infected do you need to take your baby to the clinic or doctor.


Make a picture book for your baby and you provide the words, little ones as young as 9 months love this. Take photos of your child throughout the day, print them and stick them into an exercise book… This is Sarah waking up – look at your pyjamas, Sarah’s eating breakfast – yummy cereal, look at you crawling on the floor and so on…
