What does Women’s Day mean to you?
Women's Day to me.... To be honest I treat every day like Women's Day. I try and put my best foot forward and juggle while seeking balance in being a wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend as well as approaching work with honesty, truth and integrity.
What is your wish for women in South Africa in 2013?
My wish is that every woman try and approach every day with an open heart, because the more you give the more you get. Also to set aside our limiting insecurities and seize every day as if it's the last; nothing is forever.
Ramona Kasavan
What does Women’s Day mean to you?
Women’s Day to me is one of the most important days in the calendar; I am all for women emancipation and liberation. I have a vested interest in the rights of a women and the identity that we create. These were huge topics for me during my tertiary education; I needed to know about South African women that inspired my journey as a female. As a motivational speaker, I highlight topics women face and the pressure that the media creates. I often reflect during Women’s Day, I buy myself something special to highlight my successes and just be thankful for being a fun, fearless female.
What is your wish for women in South Africa in 2013?
I think that women often underestimate ourselves, we have an opportunity to create a multi-dimensional approach to life but we are often inhibited. I am always thankful to Lilian Ngoyi and Helen Joseph for that day in August [1956] as they have paved the way for women like us. One of my favourite Women’s Day quotes: “I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.” - Mother Teresa

What does Women’s Day mean to you?
Women's Day holds a special place in my heart. I always feel like Women's Day should be something that is celebrated more often, especially knowing how many women out there are striving so hard to be seen as an equal in society and amongst male dominant industries. Not to mention single moms who have no choice but to do everything they can to give their kids everything of the best.
What is your wish for women in South African in 2013?
My wish is to get more public holidays. Haha, I am just kidding…My wish though is for us as women to gain more respect and to be seen as equals in a male dominant industry.
Lebo Masike
What does Women’s Day mean to you?
Women's Day for me means celebrating all the amazing women we truly are, and to celebrating how far we have come in all aspects of life. I do reflect [on the day] because if it was not for the courage of the women in 1956, I would not be living the life I am today and for that I am forever grateful. This Women’s Day I have been invited by Businesswomen's Association SA to give a talk to Grade 12 female learners. BWASA is hosting 250 learners from previously disadvantaged backgrounds to a full-day workshop on "Winning In The Workplace".
What is your wish for women in South African in 2013?
I wish that they could live in a safe country, free of abuse and never forget how truly amazing they are.
