Forget the usual suspects when it comes to spreading germs. Your cellphone, office phones, laptop keys and kitchen appliances can all harbour plenty of bacteria. Make sure to clean them regularly to keep your environment germ-free.
Pomegranates are in season, so take advantage of their many benefits. They are rich in antioxidants like vitamin C and B, zinc, magnesium and potassium, and they also provide relief from rheumatoid arthritis. Try freezing these seeds for an hour before enjoying as a refreshing snack.
Keep your eye out for olive leaf extract. This potent ingredient packs an antioxidant punch twice as powerful as green tea, and 400 percent higher than vitamin C. You’re not likely to find it on food shelves though, so look out for it in beauty products instead.
Eat your way to a whiter smile. Apples, walnuts and origanum in particular will help wash away bacteria and reduce staining.
Too much coffee and not enough water could be the cause of black rings under your eyes. Make sure you are reaching your daily water quota, and stick to one cup of coffee a day. Also try drinking green tea for a natural caffeine boost.
