If your skin is dull or pale, your toilet habits could be to blame. Irregular bowel movements mean your body has less opportunity to flush out toxins and replenish nutrients. Include plenty of water and fibre into your diet to improve your digestion and your complexion.
Red and inflamed skin could be caused by a sweet tooth. If you’ve got a sensitive digestive system, sugar can immediately cause an inflammatory response. Refined sugar is the culprit here, so try curbing a sweet craving with fresh fruit or complex carbohydrates.
A lack of protein could be responsible for dry and brittle hair. Make sure you munch on raw nuts, legumes, eggs, chicken and fish to help you reach your daily quota.
If your nails are looking a shade too pale or starting to curve upwards, you could be suffering from an iron-deficiency. Don’t head for supplementation just yet though, as you need to have a doctor’s diagnosis first.
If you want results in the gym, do your hardest exercises first. Women in particular lose mental focus and tire towards the end of the workout. Get the tough training over and done with and enjoy better results.
