Zaba set to co-host MTN Radio Awards
Amazing news! Our very own Zaba Simbine is set to co-host this year’s MTN Radio Awards with radio veteran, Alex Jay.
We've got another reason to look forward to the MTN Radio Awards in Johannesburg on 12 April.
In addition to our 12 nominations, it has just been announced that weekday 4am to 6am slot presenter, Zaba Simbine, will be co-hosting the awards show alongside radio veteran, Alex Jay!
“I am so nervous. I am so amazingly nervous but it’s going to be great nonetheless!” says Zaba.
The event next month will not be televised “but I have no problem if people bring out their cellphones, take videos and put them up on YouTube,” quips Zaba.
Around 1500 people are expected to attend the awards ceremony at the Sandton Convention Centre on 12 April.
The East Coast Radio team will be there, holding thumbs, hoping to bring home more awards for KZN. The station is in the running in the following 12 categories:
