THURSDAY

Night Market @ Docklands
It’s not your average market. The night market has a very suave vibe, there’s always great food, craft beer and jazz. It’s the perfect way to ease into the weekend.

SAM @ Windermere Centre
This is one of those events that Durban has been hungry for. Get to SAM at Windermere Centre for their store opening on Thursday night. The store stocks only locally made product; both clothing and deco. Find out more on their Facebook page here.

FRIDAY

Hi-Friday @ KZNSA
KZNSA hosts its monthly event, Hi-Friday with DJ Rooinek and friends this weekend. There’s no entry fee, but order some food and a beverage and enjoy a few good tracks under the stars. For more details check out their Facebook page.

Ard Matthews @ Cool Runnings
If you're looking for something a little different, head through to the legendary Cool Runnings to catch Ard Matthews and Dirty Royal live. It kicks off at 8pm and will set you back around R50. Expect mellow vibes and goods tunes.

Kendrick Lamar @ Wavehouse
He is finally here! Ladies, slap on some lipstick and get ready for some serious swagger. Tickets are selling fast, you probably should have booked yours yesterday.

SATURDAY

Summer Lovin @Taco Zulu
The place to be this Saturday is definitely the Taco Zulu pool party at Audacia Manor, brought to you by New School Productions. Who can forget the Volcom Goldfish party there? It hit a chord with us; hours of poolside madness, cocktails, dance floors and a slip & slide. Don’t get left behind, get yourself a ticket ASAP at Taco Zulu for R100. Rumour has it there aren’t many left so get yourself sorted. For more information have a look at the event page here. Luckily for you I have tickets to give away! Tell me which DJ you are most looking forward to seeing at the party. Mail your answer to [email protected]

I Am I @ Izulu Theatre, Sibaya
If you’re in the mood for something a little more cultural and though provoking, then book your seat at the gorgeous Izulu Theatre at Sibaya. The production is about inspiring youth to encourage them to reach their full potential. It’s a clever mix of genres that will be a nice night out for the family. Tickets are R100, book here.

SUNDAY

Tony Rezac @ Zacks, Wilsons Wharf
There’s nothing like a bit of Sunday jazz. Zacks at Wilson’s Wharf is hosting Tony Rezac and his saxophone from 2pm-5pm. Order some nachos and daiquiri and while away the weekend. There is no entry fee but it’s always a good idea to book a table. Call them on 031 3051671.
