Mo Magic, real name, (Mahommed Moorad) has fast become one of the country’s most recognized magicians and celebrities. Mo, who holds a BSc Honours degree in electronic engineering, left his job to pursue his new passion, the art of magic. He now does performances across the country and internationally and has become a household name.

With his great talent and persona, we posed the question if he had adopted the same persona as ‘James Bond’, by loving the ladies and disappearing, like the Ian Fleming’s character, who women from all around the world swoon over?

Mo simply chuckled that a magician never revealed his secrets! He did however add that Valentine’s Day was important to him and he would be celebrating the day of love with those close to his heart.

“I have a few special ladies in his life (family and close friends) and will be treating them with special gifts and gestures. I like that people have Valentine’s Day to remind them of the romantic side associated with relationships. Not everyone has the proverbial ‘romantic side’ and if Valentine’s Day is able to remind them of this, then that’s great. I’m a romantic and enjoy creating special moments that will be remembered,” he said.
When ECR asked Mo about his thoughts on love and what the year entails? He said he believed life is an incredible journey with each day bringing with it a new adventure. He did hint that if this was the year of love for him, then it will be another incredible adventure he will wait to embark on!

Mo, may not have one favourite lady in his heart but he did confess to having a soft spot for the lovely Kate Beckinsale, since the first time he saw the movie, Serendipity. Incidentally it’s his favourite, romantic comedy - a must watch for all Valentine’s Day couples.

Mo Magic says that being a full-time magician is hard work and he will continue doing shows nationally and abroad this year. And although marriage is not yet on the cards, he hopes to continue his love of travelling overseas and making new friends, creating new magic for TV performances and releasing a DVD project. Until then he hopes to continue mesmerizing his fans, especially the ladies, with his charming, good looks and his magic tricks, of course!
