Late night dining spot for Durban

If you feel peckish after a late night movie or just want to take your family for Italian food, you need not go further than the new Aurelias Italian Restaurant, which officially opened its doors at 250 Umhlanga Rocks Drive, The Square, earlier this month. 

 

Durban hoteliers Jenny and Vijen Pillay conceived the idea to open an authentic restaurant after their kids related to them that there were very few eating venues that were open late at night for the hungry club and movie patrons in Durban. 

 

They decided to open an eatery for those who wanted some authentic pizzas, a vibey atmosphere and a place to chill till late into the night.

 

Local celebrities such as speaker Logie Naidoo and his wife Jeevie, Eastern Mosaic’s Jailoshini Naidoo, Mo Magic, Kajal Bhangwandeen and Kajal Maharaj were some of the guests that enjoyed being serenaded by Natalie Rungan while tucking into piping-hot, delicious Italian pizzas at the venue's opening last week.

The restaurant, which has gorgeous photographs of Italy pasted all over the walls, is the perfect setting for a relaxed evening - with good food and an array of craft beers and wines, especially selected by chef Keagan Daniels.

 

According to speaker, Logie Naidoo, many international visitors complain that Durban is asleep by 10pm - so this venue is definitely what the city needed!
