Celebs join Toy Story Corporate Day
Updated | By Staff Writer
Celebs from across South Africa have made space in their diaries to join the team from East Coast Radio’s Toy Story with Game for our Corporate Day Challenge.
Kwaito star Mandoza, local musicians Lloyd Cele, The Arrows, Rubber Duc and Gangs of Ballet and sport stars from The Sharks and AmaZulu will all be taking part in the challenge on Friday 21 November 2014 at The Pavilion Shopping Centre.
We will be broadcasting live from the mall from 6am until 6pm to raise funds for the campaign, which is now in its 14th year.
The money will be used to buy food parcels for child-headed households across KZN to help make sure the children do not go hungry over the long end-of-year holidays. Each food parcel is valued at R350 and contains items that can feed a family of four to six for around five weeks.
You can make a difference my making a pledge on Corporate Day on 21 November 2014 by calling 031 265 0147. It could Lloyd Cele answering your call! Or Matthew Mole or Majozi or Mandoza!
Last year, people all over KZN pledged more than R1-million! Businesses and individuals dipped deep into their pockets to help us make a difference in the lives of our province’s ill and destitute children.

East Coast Breakfast host Darren Maule gave everyone an eyeful when he ran through Suncoast in his itsy bitsy undies to encourage pledges last year. Those who witnessed the near-naked run have sadly never been the same. We can’t promise that he will keep his clothes on at The Pavilion Shopping Centre but at least this time you’ve been warned!
East Coast Radio’s Toy Story with Game initiative wraps up on 17 December 2014.
By then, the team would have distributed toys to thousands of children in government hospitals, orphanages and children’s homes across the province, with the Department of Health’s Air Mercy Service helping to take toys and food parcels to the outlying areas of KZN.
