Toxic new cocktail being drunk by Durban kids
Updated | By Diane Macpherson
A new substance has surfaced that's causing panic and fear among
parents. A new drink concoction has been created by the youth to alter
their moods - in other words to get high.
Methelated spirits, brown sugar and tea are mixed together to create this insidious cocktail. Accelerated liver and kidney damage are a side effect of drinking this. SAP Greenwood Park has urged teachers and parents to please be on the look out for a change in the behaviour of their students and children respectively and monitor the usage of these chemicals at home. If you suspect anyone trying out this concoction or a victim of substance abuse, you can contact Warrant Officer Leon Audh on 0795000261 or Cst Chonco at SAP Greenwood Park victim friendly facility on 078 067 3997.
Floyd emailed to thank the two Good Samaritans who came to his rescue while he was being mugged at midday on Saturday in central Pinetown. This took place in the vicinity of the KFC on Old Main Road. He'd been looking for parking when a man ushered him into an available space. When he returned to the parking, after running his errands, three men approached him, one of them was the same guy who'd helped him park. He tried to rob Floyd, with the other two men standing behind him to stop anyone from seeing what was happening. A struggle broke out and 2 other men rushed to assist Floyd. He believes they may've saved his life and has asked us to thank these guardian angels who disappeared before he could even say thank you. If this was you, well done and thank you and please get in touch with us so we can give your details to Floyd.
