Durban man arrested on kiddie porn charges

A 29-year-old Durban man has been arrested and appeared in court for possession and distribution of child pornography images.
The alleged exchange between the suspect and the minor was being done through a mobile application called “KIK”. When the team visited and searched the suspect’s residence at a block of flats, they found and seized six hard drives, six cellular phones, a USB, 22 DVD’s and CDs and a 3g card. The suspect has already appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court and he is currently out on bail. His case has been postponed to February.
Durban North mom, kids held up and hijacked
A Durban North mother and her children were victims of a car hijacking outside a business premises in Soofie Saheeb Road, Durban North on Tuesday. Blue Security says the woman had pulled up outside the business premises at about 9.10am when three armed men hijacked her of her white Mercedes. They forced the woman and her kids out of the car before fleeing in the vehicle. The victims were not injured during the incident and ran into the business premises for assistance. Police later managed to recover the vehicle in Westville.
