Armed robbers hit 2 Durban North businesses
Updated | By Diane Macpherson
There've been two business robberies this week in the north Durban area to take note of.
The first one took place at 5am on Monday on PalmField Road in Springfield Park. Three armed men confronted the business owner as he was opening the doors to his premises. They threatened and instructed him, his father and staff to lie down on the floor. The robbers then started to panic when the alarm went off and quickly searched the victims. They fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and a cell phone.
At 9.30am on the same day, there was an armed robbery at a service station on North Coast Road. A cash in transit guard was disarmed and then held up as he was picking up the cash from the auto safe. The suspects then fire shots at the scene and escaped in a black runx and white polo with cash boxes containing an undislosed amount of money.
Anyone with information on either of these robberies is asked to please contact Major Sibisi on 0781533403.
