Addressing members of Parliament, Zuma focused mainly on job creation.
"However the economy is sill not growing fast enough to create the jobs we need. There are some of our people including out youth who have not worked for years," he said.
Zuma also provided an outlook of the economic growth rate in 2017.
"We anticipate an economic growth rate of 1.3% in 2017 following an estimated 0.5% in 2016," he said.
