Breaking up is never an easy thing to go through.

Nonetheless, it is a harsh reality that many people have had to struggle through at least once in their lives.

Sometimes saying goodbye isn't easy, and in most cases you will find one person is not quite ready to say goodbye.

In this case, it was a man who was not ready to accept his girlfriend's decision to break away.

"A young man from China’s Sichuan province spent over 20 hours kneeling in front of his ex-girlfriend’s workplace hoping to convince her to take him back." (Oddity Central)

The man who arrived at his girlfriend's workplace in an attempt to win her back believed that by creating a spectacle he would get her attention.

"The man reportedly started the extreme attempt to get back into his ex’s good graces at 1 pm on March 28 and remained on his knees until 10 am the next day, braving the rain, the cold, and the curious stares of passers-by." (Oddity Central)

At first, people did not pay attention to him, but after some time, people began crowding around him.

Some even tried to convince him to leave as his efforts were in vain. One man said: “It’s not necessary to keep on kneeling. The girlfriend is not willing to show up but you are still here, losing face." (Oddity Central)

But he ignored their commentary. People became concerned over him and called the police.

But it seems even their efforts went unnoticed. He is said to have eventually fled the spot, probably due to the cold.

It was unclear as to whether the girlfriend was even at her workplace when he made this grand, not so practical gesture. But the fact that he did was sort of romantic (if that's your thing), otherwise it could be described as ridiculous.
