WATCH: Forget about flying cars, now there's a flying motorcycle!
We look at a new way to travel in the air...
The concept of flying cars and motorbikes has been around for a long time. Many people have made it their life's work to create something that makes air travel convenient and futuristic.
When we saw this, we thought, of course this is on the cards for air travel, but to actually hear someone talk about it, with such passion and intent, makes us wonder what else is planned once we're all travelling with our air bikes and air cars. Makes you wonder, right?
"Jetpack Aviation, which already makes vertical people propellers, just announced a successful test flight of its jet-driven flying motorcycle prototype...The California company plans to produce two consumer versions for everyday users.
"The work put into the flying bike had to undergo flight-control software program that can monitor and adjust the thrust, which is an intuitive system that functions like a typical motorcycle and automatically stabilizes the machine in flight. It can take off and land vertically from most surfaces in roughly the space taken up by a car, and it can be programmed to fly autonomously." (Robb Report)
