Things to do with your partner that will strengthen your bond

Everybody loves love, right?

There is this overlying idea that being in a relationship is always a bed of red roses.

But that is far from the truth. Being in any relationship takes work. It requires time and effort from both people.

This is why it's important to take time for your other half. We have some fun and inexpensive ideas that will help you and your partner create a stronger bond.

Date nights

These are a great way to connect with your partner. You can take time to share a coffee, play a board game, cook a meal together for a dinner date for two, or take a walk to the beach.

Get creative with activities

These are great in general because fresh air can work wonders. Make sandwiches with leftovers, pack them up and go for a picnic. Or visit conservation parks in your area. If you have a couple budget, then you can work towards doing fun activities with each other.

  • Ten Pin Bowling
  • Playing pool/snooker
  • Gardening
  • Home DIY something together
  • Go for a sip and paint class
  • Paintball
  • Boxing/Zumba class
  • Yoga
Spontaneity can be romantic, but know your partner

Plan an overnight stay somewhere close by like a boutique hotel, B&B or Airbnb. This way you don't have to spend lots of money but get some time away.

Remember, surprising your partner can be romantic, but that's if they enjoy surprises. If they don't, then let them in on the getaway.

Another great thing to do is sit with your partner and plan out your year, include time together and special getaways. This way, you can commit to time together.
