What a great way of being conscious of the environment?
Families focus a lot on the Christmas tree and the decorations when it comes to this time of year.
In South Africa, we opt for faux Christmas trees though. As opposed to many other countries like the United Kingdom.
As a way of saving the environment and reducing waste, a young man by the name of Will founded his tree rental company, called North Berwick Christmas Tree Company.

And it has proved to be such a success that the same families that began renting the trees when they were mere baby trees have continued to rent them.
Each year families from England rent the same tree and consider these trees to be part of the family.
Will named the trees, and it adds such character to their identity.

With names like 'Eggnog', 'Holiday' and 'Dasher', they are rented out during Christmas and then returned to the farm.
The trees are nurtured with other tree buds and the irrigation system in place throughout the year.
Although families have a choice to rent out different trees, they opt to rent out the same trees each year.
