SEE: CPT man gets charged R120k instead of R1,200 for a full tank of petrol!

Now that's what we call a mistake!
With the cost of fuel fluctuating over the past few months, it's not a welcome experience when your vehicle hits that beeping sound to indicate it's time to top up the tank.
Of course each driver is different, each with their own set of fuel consumption practices.
This guy though has left the whole of SA in shock as he went in to an Engen petrol station in Muizenberg and left with a bill of R120k!
Sebastian Santino De Allende went to fill his vehicle up and the bill came to R1,200.
But somehow the petrol attendant charged him a whopping R120,020.14...
Now, if you're like us, you too would've questioned the legitimacy of the payment.
Because it is rare to find someone with that kind of money in their account at any given time.
However, it was indeed a fact that he was mistakenly charged R118,820.14 more than his actual bill.
Look, we know mistakes happen and we could have 100 questions as to how and why this happened, but at the end of the day, it happened, and therefore by right he would want his money reimbursed.
But after waiting some time with no form of contact from the East Lake Convenience Centre, De Allende went to Facebook to get their attention.
He wrote: "Engen SA I expect better, my full tank of petrol was R1,200.Your cashier took R120,020.14 from my account instead. This happened at the Muizenberg garage on Thursday the 8th. The money is still not in my account and I've received no calls or emails about this. I've been trying to contact you privately but I cannot find any way. Fix this before I take action!" (Facebook)

After his irate social media post, the regional manager contacted him to let him know that this would be sorted out.
Then he received a call from the owner of the garage who told him he would do an immediate payment, which he said did in fact happen.
So guess all the drama ended well, and De Allende was happy. He even posted a thank you to social media users for sharing his post.
