#Normalise with Vic Naidoo: Should we normalise being honest with our partners?

#Normalise with Vic Naidoo: Should we normalise being honest with our partners?

Vic Naidoo's show segment #Normalise covers a touchy subject, what should we normalise? When you ask your partner, "How do I look?" should they answer honestly?

Vic Naidoo received a message from Megan in Ballito and she explains her submission for the #Normalise segment this week.

"Last week I asked my significant other if an outfit made me look fat, and he said that it did! I was angry for a second, but then I remembered he was being honest with me.

Can we please #normalise our partners being honest with us when we ask how we look and not always saying what they think we want to hear?

Thanks for a great show".

We received some good voice notes from our listeners talking from their personal experiences. Tony from PMB even went on to say, "You can't answer that question because if you're honest and say, Ja, you do look fat in those jeans, you're in the dog box for a week bru!"

So why can't we be honest without being hurtful is what we're saying? If you really care about someone, then you should consider focusing on your delivery; what words can you use that will be received in the best way, and if all else fails, then just be like Vic Naidoo and say, "Look over there!"

Listen to the podcast below and find out if Vic Naidoo and our listeners decided to #Normalise being honest with your partner when they ask, "How do I look?"...
