No one wants to have to deal with flies when you're hosting this festive season.

Our festive season has always been filled with summertime treats, sun, and sand.

But with all things fresh and vibrant comes a downside. In our case, it happens to be the two buzzers: mosquitoes and flies.

The one (mosquitoes) we can definitely manage to some extent with bug sprays for our rooms and body.

But the other, being flies, can sometimes be an unnecessary nuisance that doesn't want to go away.

What's worse is that they are always associated with filth and so, we sort of freak out when we see them in our homes out of fear of what they may be carrying with them.

We've seen several people share their hacks online and some work, some need more attention to detail and are not worth the trouble, and then there are the ones we try out of desperation.

Now, we don't want you to feel like you are not in control in your own home, so, we suggest trying his fly hack that seems quite illogical but interesting nevertheless.

Of course, we have some questions, like why the penny? And if we are doing it, should it be a copper coin or does silver work just as well?

We guess experimentation is the only way forward. Can't harm us to try it out, right?
