There is something unique and aspirational when it comes to being an art lover. Whether it's the sense of history, authenticity, expression or beauty, there is definitely something special about surrounding yourself with art.

So when we saw this video of a woman who loves Banksy share her experience, about what seemed like an ordinary affair turning into an extraordinary one, we felt her excitement.

After walking through the subway and passing an art vendor (who happened to be masked) knowing that one of her favourite artists were soon going to be exhibiting in the city, she decided to purchase two pieces of art for $120, which is roughly, R1,900.

In true fan spirit, something came over her to buy the art pieces and now that she reflects on her experience, she believes that it is quite possible that she may have acquired two original Banksy pieces that could potentially be worth a lot more than $120.

The artist has a mysteriousness attached to his work and that has definitely created a buzz all around the world. No one has seen Banksy's face, so we think this adds to his/her popularity...

"All that - we think - we know is that he/she is a British artist who travels around the world leaving his/her mark on buildings and places, usually making some kind of social commentary on an issue that's pertinent at the time." (LadBible)

The rebel attitude certainly adds to the story considering that Banksy is actually sought out by the police in this video according Colleen, the Banksy fan, who thinks she may have stumbled on an original.
