It is quite unusual to hear people visiting a zoo specifically to see a gorilla.

Of course, they are magnificent creatures but you would rarely find people coming to a zoo specifically to see the gorilla.

However, a Gorilla by the name of Shabani from a zoo in Japan was not only compared to famous American heartthrob, George Clooney but was also the main feature for many female visitors.

Shabani was the poster Gorilla at his zoo and because of his handsome features, he was said to have increased the number of visitors that frequented the zoo.

Shabani attracted crowds of women to the zoo and became a global sensation in 2015.

It got so bad that women would shout out to him, "Look at me, Shabani", which resulted in the zoo having to put up signs to ask people not to shout.

Over and above his good looks, Shabani is also known to be a good leader and partner to his mate. He also plays with his children, which researchers have said is very unlike his species.

We can understand why he is considered a catch...
