We all remember that movie 'The Matrix' with Keanu Reeves, the one where we all started questioning what is real? The whole concept says a lot when it comes to the digital world and how we have all conformed to living in a society that is consumed with the online world. 

Wherever you look, there is someone on a digital device, everything around you revolves around a smart device, can be controlled remotely, or accessed online. So when you hear that someone paid a hefty amount to own a prestigious handbag, that can only be used online, it shouldn't surprise you...

We're sure you are wondering, what is Roblox and the Gucci Garden Experience? According to Polygon, "Roblox is an online platform and storefront where users play games. Roblox is not a game, it is a place where people play games made by other developers." 

In addition, according to Entrepreneur:

Buyers used virtual money to purchase items, in this case, the buyer paid $4,115 for the virtual handbag, whereas "an original Gucci Dionysus physical bag, which have prices ranging from 1,980 euros ($ 2,418) to 2,200 euros ($ 2,686), according to the Gucci Spain virtual store." (Entrepreneur)

Just so we are clear here, this digital handbag cannot be used in the physical world, so it can only be used in the virtual space. Users can use the item to dress up their avatars in the gaming world.
