Fashion brands are all about exclusivity. It's about wearing something that has a particular sense of meaning.
So to walk around with a Louis Vuitton handbag, it's not just about your sense of style, but your sense of accomplishment.

So when this woman entered a mall in Changsha, China with the intention of buying a Louis Vuitton handbag and accessory, we can assume it was something of a big deal.
Considering she was spending AU$3,500 (R39,000) for her purchases. Sadly what she thought to be an original turned out to be a counterfeit, as discovered by an authenticator.
She didn't waste any time on the matter and took it to court.
The store denied selling her a fake product and even went as far as to offer video footage of the purchase.
But... "The Chinese court ordered the luxury fashion brand to return the customer’s money and pay them three times the amount (R117 000) they spent on the handbag." (MSN)

Good to note that in some instances the counterfeits are so professionally done that it is difficult to tell the difference.
But the truth is that anything 'real' in life is difficult to attain but worth the effort...
