Another act of homophobia in the Free State
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A man from Sasolburg in the Free State was allegedly attacked by a group of homophobic men at a bar.

Segakweng Kimora Magoma, a 32-year old gay man from Sasolburg in the Free State, went out this past Sunday with a friend, only to be greeted by a group of homophobic men and consequently attacked.
No matter how many times we see acts of hatred, it still leaves us in complete disbelief that any one human can treat a fellow human in this manner.

According to TimesLIVE, Magoma said that he was approached by a man while at the bar with his friend and the man used a derogatory term for a gay man in Sesotho. He responded by telling the man to call his mother and things got violent.
The man attacked him and not long after more men started attacking him. He said they were aiming for his face and were stabbing him with bottles.
The article captured Magoma saying that 'he would not hide his sexuality nor change who he is simply because some people can’t accept it.'
We second that! In a time where we are celebrating 27 years of freedom, how can we not recognise the freedom of sexuality? Come on, South Africa, let's stand together!
