Each day we are reminded about the consequences of driving under the influence of drinking under the influence of alcohol. For the most part these campaigns fall on deaf ears.
It is not that we do not understand the message, or comprehend the consequences of our actions, it is just that we feel that will never happen to us. We will not be the person who takes innocents lives. Perhaps it is because we have never had first hand experience of talking to to someone who is in prison for killing someone whilst under the influence.
