When voice recognition was first announced, we all danced naked in the streets, chanting ''finally''!
The honeymoon period was short lived for most of us. Perhaps it is how we pronounce our words, perhaps it is our unique accents. Whatever the reason, I am one of the countless who have suffered at the hands of voice recognition software.
I was privileged to have a sponsored car a year or so ago. The car was wonderful. Everything about it made me happy- except the voice recognition. In the entire time I had it I could never get it to properly respond. I had daily voice recognition rage, followed by mild depression as my voice assistant refused to follow my simple commands. I began to question my ability to speak. I even considered voice coaching!
Then I realized it wasn't me, and that I was not alone.
This video, although old, brilliantly captures the pain and suffering of voice recognition. These two Scots get into a lift operated by voice recognition. The results are too funny!
