WATCH: Gupta Bling (parody song)
Updated | By George Thorne
Deep Fried Man delivers again- brilliant parody song!
Deep Fried Man is one of South Africa's funniest comedians. As a satirist he nails it. He describes himself as a stand up comedian with a guitar.
He is more than that! He is smart, well educated, well read and knows a thing or two about how to make scathingly funny parodies.
His real name is Daniel Friedman, and is the son of political analyst and newspaper columnist Steven Friedman. With a dad like that you would not be allowed to get away with producing rubbish. I can only imagine what conversations around their dinner table were like.
The main headlines over the last week have all related to the capture of state by the Gupta's. It seems the battle lines have been drawn in the ANC, and things are going to get messy before they settle. The shenanigans have been very disturbing, and the response from President Zuma has been less than presidential.
Add to this scandal our collapsing economy, the growing chorus of dissatisfied youth, escalating service delivery protests, it looks like we are in for a tough year!
At least we have likes of Deep Fried Man to put a smile on our face.
This is his take on Guptagate, called Gupta Bling (original song belongs to Drake)
