Indian rape comments are horrific!
Another estate agent, another outrageous comment on social media!
Darryn Wilken, who works for Just Property in Midrand, was online where he responded to a post in group called Dark Humour, asking this ''If any crime was legal for 12 hours, what would you do?
His response: “Go and rape every Indian woman I see.Then after 12 hours I’ll hit them up with a message like ‘Last night was fun, we should do it again sometime’.”
Wilken has since apologised saying he regrets posting it. Posting it, that is! And I am sure he only regrets posting it because he got busted!
He did not apologise for thinking it! This is the essence of the problem. I suspect he would happily regale his mates at the pub with his thoughts!
His apology rings hollow. Darryn, how could you think this was acceptable? Darryn, how could you think this was funny?
Rape culture in South Africa is a massive issue. Everyday woman are raped, beaten, abused in this country. Racism, sexism and misogyny are rampant! Rape culture is the norm!
