You won’t believe what this airline did for this woman!

What an amazing story!

In this day and age, airlines take a lot of flak from travellers... especially when bags go missing or there's a delay.
Yes, there are the positive remarks you hear from the odd passenger, but let's be honest, those seem to be few and far between.
So here's an airline that went out of it's way for a family in crisis and, in my opinion, I'd fly with them just because I salute them for the random act of kindness they did for a particular lady who boarded her flight, settled into her seat... and turned off her phone. While taxying to the runway, the aircraft made an about turn and headed back to the gate with no word from the flight deck.

The passenger, Peggy, was asked to disembark and in her bewildered state, met by a representative from the airline who told her she needed to get in touch with her husband immediately. Her son had suffered a serious head injury and was in a coma in a completely different city.
Within minutes, Southwest Airlines had taken her bags off the plane and re-booked her on a direct flight (free of charge) to see her son.
He's now doing well and has fully recovered.
In a world where business is driven by money and passenger numbers, I reckon Southwest Airlines deserve a massive pat on the back for what they did to help this family.
