Woman mugged in broad daylight

A 92-year-old woman, who didn’t wish to be named out of fear, was violently mugged in Hackney, London in broad daylight.

The video shows the woman being pulled to the ground while trying desperately to cling to her handbag, but was overpowered by her attacker, who managed to steal it.

Her attacker was revealed by the Hackney police as 28-year-old Sanchez Edwards, who is said to be suffering from Schizophrenia and has a history of violence and drug use.

In an interview with Metro.co.uk, detective Paul Ridley, who is the lead of the investigation, urged the public to come forward if they have any information with regard to the case, as Edwards is currently on the run.
