What do you do when a bargain turns into a bummer?

If you've ever been to a thrift store, you would know that if you look well enough you can find some real gems.

Busy antique stores, charity shops, and pawnshops might look as if they are full of junk, but with a keen and trained eye, you can walk away with beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that you won't find in your local shopping mall.

Most people with siblings will also know that hand-me-downs are a very real thing and some of us were lucky if even got to go shopping and buy clothes that were not previously worn to death by our brothers and/or sisters.

Now, most of these shops do not really have return policies.

You buy it, you keep it.

So what do you do when you get home and you see some issues with your latest purchase? 

Some people have even bought second-hand jewelry that they then believed to be cursed.
