A new study reveals the relationship between your
personality and perceived competency
A study done by VitalSmart’s has revealed that a woman’s perceived competency drops by 35% when they are assertive or forceful in the workplace.
Assertive men are also affected but no as much.
It found that women are burdened with the assumption that they will conform to cultural stereotypes which say they are nurturing and caring, and submissive and speaking up or being assertive violates these cultural norms.
