As a parent, when you get into your car, and you’re strapping your child into their car seat, you always check to see that the seat is secure, right?

Terrifying footage of a child tumbling out of the car onto a busy road has been caught on a dash cam.

Although the mother apparently strapped her child correctly to the safety seat, the seat itself was not correctly fastened to the seat in the vehicle. But it’s unclear how the door opened, leading to the child falling out.

A truck driver driving behind the vehicle witnessed the moment in front of his eyes, and he jumped out his car to save the child. He started waving his hands in an effort to stop oncoming traffic as he picks up the child, who was still in the car seat uninjured.

The Washington Post reports they have not identified the mother as yet, but they "are seeking to charge her with child endangerment and with not properly restraining a small child in a vehicle." Thankfully the child was not injured in the process.

It is reported by Fox9 that the driver said that the mother was "pretty hysterical. as, obviously, a mother would be in that situation"

Parents, please triple check your kids in their car seat to avoid something like this ever happening.
