The Zululand Observer is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and what better way to kick things off than with a flash mob?!

The Zululand Observer is a local community newspaper that has stood the test of time. The greater Zululand community is their home and the people in it are the very fabric that makes up their unique tapestry. Storytelling is in their blood.
This year, this local publication is celebrating its 50th birthday and they have started off things in style. This past weekend at the Boardwalk Shopping Centre in Richards Bay, they organised a flash mob in front of a crowded mall of shoppers.

The footloose girls featured in the video were from the Dance Academy Empangeni, and they danced along to Bryan Adams’ 'Summer of 69.'
They kicked things off in a loud and proud way, and we can only imagine what else is there to come.
Get ready to turn it up, and get your dancing shoes on.
