Watch: Cyclists survive after elderly motorist ploughs into them

A motorist in England has been caught on video slamming into a group of cyclists, leaving one injured. Many, however, have been questioning whether he should be driving in the first place or not?

An 81-year-old motorist has found himself in hot water with the law after he was caught on video slamming into a group of cyclists, leaving one of them unconscious.

According to the Daily Sun, the incident took place in Somerset, South West England back in November 2017. The footage starts off with cyclists making their way across a road, adorned in their brightly coloured safety gear. Suddenly, a black car appears behind them and slams right into them, sending them flying off their bikes. 

It is reported that one of the cyclists was left unconscious following the incident, and was rushed to the hospital. 

The 81-year-old, who has been identified by authorities, has been given a slap on the wrist with a licence suspension which lasts for two years.
