Watch: Cyclist escapes death by high-speed train
A cyclist is lucky to be alive after coming inches from being hit by a high-speed train.

Video footage of a cyclist coming within an inch of losing his life has gone viral on social media. The cyclist was seen waiting at a crossing for the train to pass him - and it does.

He then starts to cycle across and doesn't notice the freight train coming from the other direction, which was hidden by the train that just passed.
Realising that he's just inches away from his death, he starts to cycle across the track as fast as he can to avoid a deadly collision.

Indian Express reports that the incident took place in the Netherlands, and had many holding onto their seats watching the cyclist's terrifying getaway.
