I don't know if you are aware, but I run a 'Flying Without Fear course to help nervous flyers. We have a promotional video that we send out to attendees of the course, but in all the time I’ve been helping nervous passengers, I can’t say we’ve ever had to address the fear of a creepy crawly climbing out of one of the overhead lockers.

Passengers in Indonesia were left scrambling for the exits after spotting a 12-inch venomous scorpion crawling in the overhead luggage compartment of their flight, and when one of the passengers pushed the 'call for help' button, apparently cabin crew were unresponsive. I mean honestly, do you blame them?

As a passenger removed her luggage from the overhead bin, the 12-inch long dark black scorpion popped out above row 19 causing pandemonium all-round.

According to Metro, the scorpion seemed to resemble a poisonous Asian forest scorpion - one of the most aggressive scorpions found in Indonesia which sting its victims.
