Scooter's attempt at a great escape ends in disaster

Almost like this video that's been doing the rounds on social media. This footage, which was uploaded by People's Daily, China via their Facebook page, shows one scooter's attempt at a great escape after flipping over on a busy road.
The video shows two adults and a child flipping over after the driver of the scooter attempted to avoid a collision with a vehicle. Thankfully, the two adults and the child managed to get up unharmed.
The bizarre thing though is when the driver attempted to pick the scooter up, it ended up veering out of control and crashing into other vehicles nearby. One can only begin to imagine how terrified the passengers were during the experience?
Sorry, Mr Scooter, but today just wasn't your day.
