Mexico woman claims to be pregnant at 70

How old is too old to have a baby? If this woman gives birth, it will make her the oldest mother in the world.

Of all the strange stories out there, this has to be the strangest I've ever heard.

According to Daily Mail, a 70-year-old woman from Mexico has claimed that she is six months pregnant with a baby girl, and could become the oldest mom in history when she gives birth.

Maria de la Luz comes from the Mexican state of Sinaloa and has shown ultrasound scans from her gynae visits to local reporters, insisting that they told her she's having a baby girl.

Her suspicions started three months ago when she began having pregnancy symptoms such as vomiting and dizziness.

Guinness World Records reported that currently, the record holder for the oldest mom in the world is Maria del Carmer Bousada, who gave birth to twin boys in Spain back in 2006 by C-section at the age of 66 and 358 days. She underwent IVF treatment in the USA as she was rejected in her country because of her age. Sadly, she died three years later after she was diagnosed with cancer.

I wonder if we could find the oldest person in KZN who has given birth? If you know of someone who is, or was pregnant in their golden years, share your comments with me below.
