Marathon runner proposes to girlfriend cheering from the sidelines
Updated | By Damon Beard
A runner used the marathon he was participating in as the perfect opportunity to propose to his girlfriend.

I remember the awesome moment at last year's aQuelle Midmar Mile when a swimmer proposed to his girlfriend at the finish.
It was an incredible moment and it seems more and more people nowadays are finding new and ingenious ways to propose to their loved ones.
A runner has done it this time by interrupting his race 24 miles in and proposing to his girlfriend, who was cheering for him on the sidelines.
See: The most flexible proposal ever goes to this yogi couple!
Spectators must have just thought the poor runner was exhausted when he dropped to his knees - but although he was tired, he also had other ideas.
It's a really spectacular moment as the exhausted runner fumbles to find the ring and the crowd starts cheering as his excited girlfriend shouts "YES!".
