Man trampled by bulls on live TV

As exhilarating as I think it would be to participate in, I don't think I could muster the courage to stare a bull in the eyes and then face the possibility of being trampled by it?!
Who in their right mind would want razor sharp, 12 inch horns and a bull with a bad attitude after them?
I must be honest, when I was travelling around Europe, I came SO close to heading to Pamplona for the running of the bulls... but something in my mind just told me it was a really stupid idea.

Then, when I see footage like this, I'm glad I decided to give it a skip.
I think it's cruel and if you want to put yourself into the line of fire, surely you should be prepared to accept the consequences?
In a video released on YouTube, a man is caught by a bull and gored in mid-air. He's then literally trampled on while the bulls storm the streets.
