An Italian court has
allowed a man to pay his alimony to his ex-wife in pizza due to his inability
to pay with money.
I believe that there are very few things that can’t be fixed with a slice of pizza. Feeling sad? Grab a pizza. Feeling happy? Eat a slice! Pizza really is one of the best things in the world.
A woman in Italy may not agree with me, however.
An Italian court has allowed her ex-husband to pay her alimony in pizza, due to his inability to pay with money. Her ex is a 50-year-old pizza baker from a small village outside Padua in northern Italy. He was acquitted of criminal charges of failing to pay his child support.
Nicola Toso and Nicolleta Zuin divorced in 2002 after having a daughter together, according to Italian newspapers. In the beginning, Nicola paid the agreed monthly alimony of 400 Euros (approximately R7,030) but after the economic crisis of 2008, Nicola struggled to pay after remarrying and having three more children.
As a result, Nicola offered Nicolleta pizzas as payment and the court agreed. Can you imagine eating SEVEN THOUSAND RANDS worth of pizza every single month? Tjoooo!!! I don’t think I could… show me the money please!
