‘I can’t bring myself to delete my dead friend from Facebook’
Updated | By Damon Beard
How do you go about making the tough decision on whether to delete a dead friend from Facebook or not?
Over time, our Facebook friends list fills up with friends, family, and loved ones that we hold near and dear to us. But have you ever thought what's happens when this person dies? Do you keep their profile or not?

Howsit Damon. I recently went through a Facebook clean up and deleted the old, dead wood from my life. I came across my friend’s profile who tragically died 3 years ago. I have not brought myself to delete her profile. Should I keep her on Facebook even though she’s dead?- Anonymous
This is a difficult one. I recently had someone on my Facebook account that had also passed away. We weren’t great friends but he was definitely someone I knew, an acquaintance.
I have to be honest and say that it took me a few days to decide if I should delete his profile or not, but eventually I did. I think it all comes down to whether that person is a really good friend or just an acquaintance.

If it was a really good friend, then I wouldn’t delete the profile as I think I’d still want to write a special message on their wall for special occasions which include birthdays or the anniversary of their death.
What do you think? Should this man delete his dead friend from Facebook?
