How to fix your phone after being dunked in water
This must be the weirdest way to fix your phone!
Like most people on this planet, every time someone drops their phone in water, I always say rice is king! Luckily, I have never dropped my phone in water, *touch wood*, but everyone I know of swears by stick your phone in rice and all shall come right.
Other methods I’ve heard of are blow drying your phone and, well, plain old just getting it fixed, although that can cost an arm and a leg.
According to Metro, another method is to put your phone in a bag of cat litter for as long as possible after you have air dried it. This was proven to work by phone company Gazelle. They tested about six different household items, including regular cat litter, couscous, oats, instant oats, instant rice, and silica gel (the crystal type of cat litter). The gel type of cat litter trumped rice, surprisingly enough!
