How are you showing kindness this #RandomActsOfKindnessDay?

Today is #RandomActsOfKindnessDay, a day to show that we can all still believe in humanity despite the struggles of day-to-day living...

We live in a world that is so fast paced that we forget to pause and think about the next person.

Today is #RandomActsOfKindnessDay, which means someone sat down and decided that we need a day to remember to be kind to each. That person was right.

We've put together various acts of kindness ideas that will help you be part of the movement.

You can pay for the person next in line

One easy way to give a random act of kindness is to simply pay for the next person in line. Whether you’re at a coffee shop, shopping centre or even a vending machine around the office. Not only can this brighten someone else’s day, but it might also encourage them to pay for the following person, and go right down the line.

Give compliments

Use today as an opportunity to give a compliment to someone where it's due. If your colleague is doing great work, let them know. For one day don't be that person who only reminds them when they make mistakes. Why not tell a stranger they have nice hair? Compliments naturally lift us and encourage us, and are the perfect way to share kindness with those around you throughout your day.

Tell someone they matter

This is for people who are close to you. We often forget to thank people in our lives for the roles they play or have played in our lives. Use this day to tell the people in your life that they matter to you.

Donate what you can

If you can donate to a NPO, do so. You can either donate your time, talents or give goods or finances. This is one way to make a difference in your community and show that kindness still exists.

We would like to think that you have more ideas on how to show kindness. We hope we have inspired you to be kinder to humanity as a whole, not just people you know or like.
